MLB Players' Union Reveals 3 Final Candidates...Announcement on the 3rd of next month
Ronald Acuña Jr. Atlanta Braves, Mookie Betts LA Dodgers, and Shohei Ohtani LA Angels were among the "Player of the Year" candidates selected by U.S. Major League Baseball MLB players.
The Major League Baseball Players' Union MLBPA announced the candidates for the 2023 Players' Choice Awards on the 18th. The Players Choice Award is more meaningful as it was selected by votes of fellow players who play on the ground together. The winners will be announced on the 3rd of next month.
Acuña Jr. played 159 games this year with a batting average of 0.337 with 41 home runs, 106 RBIs, 149 runs and 73 steals. For the first time in the Major League, he achieved 40 home runs and 70 steals at the same time, ranking first overall in the hit 217, score, steal, and on-base percentage 0.416.
Betts had a batting average of 0.307 with 39 homers, 107 RBIs, 126 runs and 14 steals in 152 games.
Ohtani, who doubles as a pitcher and batter, posted a 10-5 record with a 3.14 ERA on the mound, batting .304 with 44 home runs, 95 RBIs and 20 steals in the at-bat. He was impressive before finishing the season early last month due to an elbow injury.
Ohtani is also nominated for the American League AL outstanding player and competes with Yandy Diaz Tampa Bay Rays and Corey Seager Texas Rangers.
In the National League NL, Matt Olsen Atlanta will compete for the top player position along with Acuña Jr. and Betts. Olsen sent 54 balls off the fence this year to become the home run king in the entire Major League. 안전 토토사이트
